The Corpse Pose
The Corpse Pose is a fantastic resting place used whenever you need to relax. Lie supine (on your back). Keep legs one foot apart. If the small of your back is not on the ground place a rolled blanket under your knees. Keep arms by your side. Palms up. Close your eyes. Breathe deeply. Relax and calm a peaceful heart.
Allows the body and mind to absorb the benefits of the previous movement pattern.
You will be equipped to face the day from this place of rest and relaxation.
Throughout the day do a Seated Spinal Twist sitting quietly with eyes open. Cross left leg over the right leg. Look over your left shoulder. For yesterday: Thanks. Now uncross the legs and place right over left. Look back over your right shoulder to stretch. For tomorrow: Yes. Practice six sets with fluid energy through the body in a slow speed.
The benefits of Seated Spinal Twist stretches the spine and nerves, correcting stiff neck, massages abdominal organs. Aids digestion.
Your mat is a place to keep a fire lit
to help protect ourselves during the coming winter.
HEALING NIGHT:
HALLOWEEN EDITION
The first was Feralia, a day in late October when the Romans traditionally commemorated the passing of the dead. The second was a day to honor Pomona, the Roman goddess of fruit and trees. The symbol of Pomona is the apple, and the incorporation of this celebration into Samhain probably explains the tradition of bobbing for apples that is practiced today on Halloween.
This annual tradition for wearing costumes, typically consisting of animal heads and skins, and attempting to tell each other’s fortunes. The presence of the otherworldly spirits made it easier for people entirely dependent on the volatile natural world, these prophecies were an important source of comfort during the long, dark winter.
Before you go to sleep, Embodiment Of Spirit Pose will set your spirit soaring into the clouds. Try sitting quietly with your eyes closed. Picture your lower half as warm, hydrated, and vital soil. Let your breathing be slow and relaxed. Embody the flower of a fruit tree blooming in your upper body. Gaze deeply into the flower.
